Daydream (2022-2024)
Film 3’55’’

I’ve always thought that those who endure long hard-seat train rides are incredible.
While I can push through it too, I’m nowhere near as smart or free as they are.
They are almost low-incomers sleeping in spaces we'd find dirty, like under seats or between carriages, anywhere that could resemble a resting area.
I admired them for finding comfort in ignoring "civic norms,” despite appearing indecent, and doing what I couldn't.

I've noticed a common trait among those sleeping in train stations and on trains:
they cover their heads, close their eyes, and leave the rest to the world.

At night, the hard-seat carriages remain brightly lit,
making those sleeping inside look like they’re caught in a daydream.

The allure of daydreaming lies in its philosophy:
"I think, therefore I am; I do not think, therefore I am not."🌝
