Installation / Video Essay

This project is a poetic reflection on water-life relationship
and an imagination on water drops' journey after life ceases to breathe.

Life, being carbon-based,
is often sustained at its end by glucose (C6H12O6),
which can romantically be broken down into (C+H2O)x6,
representing us and water.

Invisible yet ever-present, water drops weave through each breath,
morphing life into a sphere cradled by water.
Water drops from deceased beings meets in clouds, turning into downpour,
but perhaps yearning for the vessels that once exhaled them.
Water drops, heavy with memories, descend, penetrate the earth,
yet,
they mourn their new role—merely to moisten, no longer to saturate.

In the cycle of wet and dry,
the remnants of existence lend their water drop by drop to other lives,
allowing them to breathe in their stead.
